About Us

I believe my obsession with clothing and general beautification began long before I was allowed to dress myself, a right justifiably withheld from me due to my passion for pattern clashing and keen eye for colours that had absolutely no business being together.

My mother, thankfully (with much embarrassment in hindsight), allowed me to express myself as I felt appropriate - loudly. This reflected into all my hobbies growing up - sewing, painting, completely unnecessary sparkly eyeshadow and a rather excessive collection of dolls with an even more outrageous set of clothing to match. 

I come from a line of glamorous women who believe in always looking your best, no matter the occasion. The only life philosophy shared in our household has always been "you never know who you will bump into". 

As a child, my mother drilled the idea of 'sleepover pyjamas' into my head. Your sleepover pyjamas are your most fashionable, clean, stain and hole free, matching pyjamas that are sure to wow the host. Creating a line of sleepwear seemed like a natural unity of my greatest love and my fondest memories. 

I wish for Rhoda Mary to feel like the classier older sister of the styles from your childhood with a deep sense of nostalgia.

Patricia Rhoda Mary Boswell, my grandmother, personal superhero and now namesake to my brand has been an inspiration through every avenue of life. To friends, family, strangers, the postman and her woollies delivery man, the most fabulous person to have ever existed. It was her who taught me the importance of consistent and contagious fabulousness and I hope that you can feel her energy and influence in everything we create.
